I've always loved handmade soap. Every time I would see some in a store I'd have to stop to smell it and admire it. Such beautiful designs, and scents that you can't find in commercial soap. I had a few bars that I refused to use because they were "Just So Pretty"! I wanted to make my own but had no idea where to start.
Then, one day back in 2006 I was browsing the "free" section on Craigslist. Lo and behold, someone was giving away all their soap making supplies. GIVING them away!! I was in heaven! Needless to say, I contacted her immediately. I began to play around and ended up making Christmas gifts for my friends and family. They all loved it so much that they convinced me to start selling.
I had started out with melt & pour soap but didn't like the fact that I couldn't control all the ingredients in it so I did some more research, took a class, and once I gained my confidence I began making cold process soap. Now almost all of my bar soaps are made from scratch.
I'm constantly coming up with new ideas and recipes. Most of my soaps are vegan, and all products are free of SLS, parabens, and other petroleum products.

P.S. That soap that I was saving because it was too pretty to use? I finally used it:) And now that I'm a soap maker myself, I have to say: Please USE the pretty soap! We'll make more!
